A Pictorial History: 1962-2012

The Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital Auxiliary 50th Anniversary

The public is invited to view the Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital Auxiliary‘s (SYVCH) first-ever exhibit titled "A Pictorial History: 1962-2012." This colorful exhibition includes a number of decade-by-decade montages highlighting special milestones in the planning and operation of the Santa Ynez Valley’s first and only hospital.

The exhibit, designed by hospital volunteers, also celebrates the services provided by the 50-year old Hospital Auxiliary that supports the facility. The exhibition is on display in the Museum’s Valley Room and is complemented by an exhibit of vintage nursing and doctors’ uniforms and medical equipment in the Museum’s Jeannette Lyons Costume Room. Many of the uniforms and medical equipment were loaned by Valley residents for the display.
